Letters from two Confederate cavalry soldiers, Hal A. Tutwiler and Robert P. Tutwiler, serving in Virginia and Alabama, to Hal's sister and Robert's cousin, Netta L. Tutwiler (later Mrs. Thomas Chalmers McCorvey) in Alabama, and a few other family letters. The Civil War letters describe battles, social life, physical conditions, and morals of soldiers. One letter is from "Camp 15th Va. Cavalry."
